What Wellness Within Works is all about
Wellness Within is more than just a fitness program. It's helping you work towards lifestyle changes to a better, healthier you. I will educate you and help you work towards being healthy, feeling great, building gym confidence and knocking some weight off as you do so. Located in the Niagara Region, I offer personalized fitness programs, nutritional guidance, and working beside you in the gym. Designed to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, I will guide you along to build yourself a healthier body and mind. How will this be accomplished?
First thing we accomplish in your program is what your needs are, your overall goals and how you want to accomplish them. Everyone has different needs, everyone is built different, and we all have our fears and doubts in ourselves. I'm here to help you with these. Getting started can be scary and intimidating. Especially if you've never had any gym experience or nutrition coaching.
We will do a few gym visits together and set up a plan. We will start out easy and build from there. We will work at a steady pace, and we will grow your program as you get stronger. I'm not about throwing you into a heavy workout that you will hate, workouts need to be done gradually so you condition your body into getting more fit as you go.
We will set up an easy plan for food and an eating plan. We want your body to adapt to eating healthy, and feeding the muscles you have worked, so they develop strong as you burn fat with your work outs. The body needs time to adjust to the wellness it is receiving within itself.
We will be monitoring your daily patterns and key points that will help you achieve goals. Your daily workouts, your rest periods, your food intake and sleep patterns. These key points all work together and all mirror each other for success to happen. You will need to be honest with yourself and with me as we continue with your wellness journey.

My Story
I have always struggled with my weight. I started to notice when I hit my 20's that weight was easy to put on. I always tried to maintain my weight but I found the older I got the harder it was. I was busy, a mom, full time auto mechanic, hockey mom, loved to go out with friends, try different restaurants and basically I lived my life to the fullest, and didn't think about my dietary needs or staying fit.
When the world changed in 2020 it was hard to come to a halt when i was used to going all the time. It was tough. And I fell into some bad habits, without really realizing it. Next thing I knew I was very overweight, unhappy, and always tired. I knew I had to make changes but didn't know how to start. I was lost.
I gathered some braveness (after a few beers) and asked an acquaintance who is a personal trainer if he work be willing to take me as a client. After being set up with a fitness program, learning how to prep my meals, and being completely honest with my trainer I was starting to see changes. I followed his ever word, was honest with him, took all advise given and worked extremely hard. It was not easy, it was a lot of change, a lot of learning and a lot of downfalls. But as I followed my journey, it started to pay off. I lost 88lbs in the first year, I learned a lot, I grew as a person and I accomplished so much. I found myself. And I'm truly grateful for my trainer.
As my journey continued and I loved how I felt, I was asked many questions. So many people I knew were feeling stuck like I was. I knew I could help make a difference. I enrolled in the Fitness and Health Promotion course through Algonquin College. I have achieved my Certified Personal Trainer certificate with International Sports Sciences Association. I just completed my Certified Nutrition Coach certificate with ISSA. I'm absorbing all the knowledge I can and am hoping to help others find themselves through their health and fitness journey.
